Data Protection

Most commercial satellite systems are handling large volumes of data.

Often, this data originates, and is used, some distance from the actual transmitter / receiver equipment.  Our experience has shown that data links over 50 - 75 feet become susceptible to atmospheric and electrical induced interference and damaging spikes and surges.

Data is often transmitted over RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 cable systems.  Other times the satellite system is an integral part of a network system, with EtherNet 10Base-T or 100Base-T formats employed.

Electronic Specialists has designed and manufactured a wide array of protection, interference control and RFI suppression equipment to keep satellite systems function smoothly. 

Corrupted data and equipment damage or degradation leads to customer dissatisfaction  and engineering call-backs.  Attention to equipment protection and interference control in design, engineering and installation phases pays handsome dividends.
