Question: The AC/DC adapter I’m replacing is a Class 2 with Input: 120V AC 60Hz 16W, Output: 9.0V 700mA. Positive in the center of the plug. Will this work?
Answer: Yes, this adapter will work for your replacement as long as the plug is correct size. Our adapter input is 120V-240Vac input with 50/60Hz and has output of 9V and 2000mA. Amp can be different as
-Voltage is provided by (or pushed) the power supply.
-Amperage is taken by (or pulled) the device being powered and will only take what the device needs from the adapter. You can’t use low amp adapter to high amp device but in this case our adapter will provide enough amp.
